SureFlap Microchip Cat Door gives peace of mind for over a decade
This is a sophisticated piece of kit which is so simple in allowing our cat controlled and secure access into and out of the house, whilst giving us all the reassurance and security from potential invaders. It is truly marvellous.
This cat door is absolutely excellent. It is well-made and very cleverly engineered. It’s simple to install and easy to use. Our cat has no qualms or reservations in using it. In fact, I think our cat actually enjoys using it. When he’s being chased or scared by traffic, fireworks, etc., his bolt for safety through the door is both unimpeded, hasty and when it shuts behind him, he is completely safe. He even bursts into turbo-purr on occasion as soon as he’s in! And he’s just under sixteen now. The cat door is not a challenge to get through.
The cat door is so reliable and responsive, he doesn’t have to fight to get through and it closes so swiftly and safely, and absolutely. It is purrfect, and it has never shown any sign of potentially catching his tail, or outstretched back leg. It’s totally safe.
It’s so simple to fit, even if you’re not excellent at DIY. Fitting this was a joy, not a chore, and I normally hate DIY jobs around the house. It comes with excellent instructions enclosed in well thought through packaging, and if needed, has high quality and genuinely interested customer service reps you can ring and talk to. They also have an excellent easy to use webpage and online trouble-shooter (even for an old technophobe fuddy-duddy like me).
When we first moved in, sadly we had other cats coming into our house frequently, but since fitting the SureFlap Microchip Cat Door 13 years ago, not only has it kept every cat/animal out but has also proved itself to be burglar-proof as well!
Equally, not only is it robust and reliable, with a sleek and pet-friendly design, it is excellent in excluding all drafts even in very heavy wind. We live at the top of a hill, on a windy, exposed plane overlooking London, and even one terrible winter when we had all our fence panels blown down and fence posts broken in half, the cat door was not flapping about in the wind, but stayed securely shut with a very, very minimal draft. What a fantastic piece of equipment and an absolute asset to our house and our cat, as well as our peace of mind.
This cat door was recommended to me by a colleague who is a vet and is now stocked and sold in our vet practice with good regularity and great feedback. Forget the rest, this is the best, and we would not swap it.
