Sure Petcare Introduces Latest Feline Pet Technology Products at 18th Annual European ISFM Congress
24th June 2019
New connected feeder helps owners monitor pet food consumption and feeding patterns using the Sure Petcare app.
Sure Petcare, the pet technology specialist, today announced that it will be showcasing the newest addition to its connected product range, the SureFeed® Microchip Pet Feeder Connect, at the 18th Annual International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) Congress, held at Hotel Cavtat, in Cavtat, Croatia, from 26th to 30th June 2019.
Feline veterinary specialists will learn about the latest developments in connected pet care that may help them support their clients and pets, based on actionable, real-world data of a cat’s day-to-day behaviour patterns.
The products to be shared at the Congress include:
- SureFeed® Microchip Pet Feeder Connect: The Microchip Pet Feeder Connect features integrated scales enabling pet owners to weigh out the correct-sized portion at every meal and accurately monitor feeding for each pet. Using the Sure Petcare app owners can check how much, when and how often their cat eats, to gain a detailed understanding of their pet’s eating habits. Owners can share this information with their veterinary professional, as changes in feeding habits may be an early sign of illness.
- SureFlap® Microchip Cat Door Connect: Owners can control the cat door from anywhere using their smart phone to lock, unlock or set curfews. This not only provides peace of mind that a pet is happily coming and going while owners are away from home, but also reveals a cat’s day-to-day routines, making it easier to identify changes that may highlight a change in a pet’s health and well-being earlier than may otherwise have been detected.
All products connect to the Sure Petcare app via the Hub (sold separately) and each Hub can connect up to 10 Sure Petcare devices within the home. This enables owners to compare their cat’s comings and goings alongside their feeding behaviours on one app dashboard.
Judith Bank, Head of Marketing at Sure Petcare, said, “This is the third time that we have attended the ISFM European Congress and we are looking forward to demonstrating how our connected products can provide accurate and actionable data on a cat’s day-to-day behaviours. This can be extremely helpful when assessing a pet’s overall health and well-being and also empowers owners to identify and address the changing needs of their pet throughout their lifetime.”
