Pet & Animal Expo Bay of Plenty preview: The first app-controlled pet feeder from Sure Petcare gives owners a greater view of their pet's feeding behaviour

Sure Petcare, the leading pet technology specialist, will be showing the latest in pet tech, the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect, for the first time in New Zealand at the Pet & Animal Expo held at the Trustpower Arena Baypark, Mt Maunganui on 22 & 23 June 2019.

Visitors to stand 55 will have a first view of the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect, the latest generation of feeding products designed for cats and small dogs before it launches in New Zealand in July.  The Microchip Pet Feeder Connect has integrated weighing scales to accurately portion a pet’s food and, when used with the Sure Petcare app, owners can view how much their pet has eaten, how often and when, supporting healthy eating, pets on specialist diets and medication.  Owners will have a detailed insight of their pet’s feeding behaviours, noticing changes over time.  The Sure Petcare app can be used to connect up to 10 Sure Petcare connected products including one of the SureFlap range of connected pet doors, the SureFlap Microchip Cat Door Connect and SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect.  When used in the same Sure Petcare app, owners can get a detailed view of their pet’s behaviour, in one place.

Sure Petcare will be hosting a competition on the stand with three draws to win a connected product of the winner’s choice and two draws to win an Animo dog behaviour and activity monitor.

Sure Petcare will also be sharing Animo, the dog behaviour and activity monitor, which delivers insights into a dog’s activity and sleep, as well problem behaviours such as shaking, scratching and barking.  These insights help owners to understand the changing needs of their pet over its lifetime, enabling them to provide proactive and personalised pet care.  Worn on the dog’s collar, Animo is lightweight, waterproof and suitable for dogs of all sizes. When used with the Sure Petcare Animo app, owners can set and monitor daily activity goals for their pet, as well as view their pet’s activity and behaviour reports by day, week, month or year.  The app also provides an hour-by-hour sleep quality report every night, which can be compared against previous nights to easily spot changes in sleep patterns.

Raewyn Carter, Sales and Operations Manager New Zealand for Sure Petcare said: “We are looking forward to sharing our latest connected pet product to the visitors of the pet show and excited to get their reaction to the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect before it is released to the market.  The Microchip Pet Feeder Connect joins our already-popular series of connected pet doors, including the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect and SureFlap Microchip Cat Door Connect which will also be available on the stand.”
