Connected pet care proves a hit at the Pet & Animal Expo, Bay of Plenty

Visitors to the Sure Petcare stand at the Pet & Animal Expo held at the ASB Arena, Baypark, were given the opportunity to win the latest in pet technology, the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect.
Held for the first time in the Bay of Plenty, visitors were treated to products and services designed for their pets. The only pet technology provider present, Sure Petcare showcased the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect, where visitors could see first-hand how the data can support pet care. One lucky visitor to the Sure Petcare stand also won a Sure Petcare product of their choice. Congratulations to Randella Te Kira, who will shortly be receiving a SureFlap Microchip Pet Door.

The first pet door of its kind, the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect enables pet owners to remotely control their pet door via the Sure Petcare app and gives owners long-term data that enables pet owners to recognise patterns in their pet’s behaviour, helping identify changes to support proactive pet care. The app also lets owners lock and unlock the door from anywhere, apply curfews and control access, and provide notifications of when the pet enters and leaves the home.
Sure Petcare is celebrating 10 years of providing innovative products to the pet care market. Starting in 2007 with the introduction of the SureFlap Microchip Cat Door, enabling unique access to the home for a specified pet, Sure Petcare has since introduced smart feeding products as well as the introduction of the world’s first app-controlled pet door, the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect, in 2017. Sure Petcare’s product road map includes further app-connected products designed to support a pet’s health and well-being and will be launched over the next 12 months.
