Sure Petcare shortlisted for PetQuip Awards 2019
22nd July 2019
Sure Petcare has been shortlisted for two products within the Pet Products of the Year in the Technical category for SureFeed® Microchip Pet Feeder Connect and Animo dog behaviour and activity monitor at pet industry awards
Pet product specialist Sure Petcare has been shortlisted for the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect and Animo dog behaviour and activity monitor in the Pet Product of the Year – Health/technical category, to be announced on 22 September at PATS, Telford.
In its 7th year, the awards celebrate companies who have made a difference in the pet trade over the last year, with over 70 companies shortlisted.
The SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect, launched in April, enables owners to monitor and control their pet’s food intake using the Sure Petcare app. Using integrated scales, owners can accurately weigh each food portion to within 1 gram of accuracy, with LED lights showing when the desired weight has been achieved. Using the Sure Petcare app, which is connected to the product via the Sure Petcare Hub, owners can monitor how much, how often and when a pet is feeding. Owners can then notice changes in feeding behaviour which they may have not noticed previously. The Microchip Pet Feeder Connect also uses the pet’s existing microchip
The Hub can also be connected to up to 10 Sure Petcare connected products, including the SureFlap® Microchip Cat Flap Connect and SureFlap® Microchip Pet Door Connect, offering even further visibility of a pet’s behaviour: from their comings and goings, to their feeding, empowering them with insights that can be shared with their vet, should there be a cause for concern.
The Animo dog behaviour and activity monitor, is the company’s first dog-specific product. It’s a lifelong activity and behaviour monitor which learns and accurately interprets the unique behaviour and activity patterns of a dog. Animo delivers insights into a dog’s activity and sleep, as well problem behaviours such as shaking, scratching and barking. These insights help owners to understand the changing needs of their pet over its lifetime, enabling them to provide proactive and personalised pet care.
David Hallas, Managing Director of Sure Petcare said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for both products in the Pet Product of the Year in the health and technical category.
Both products have joined our already successful microchip enabled pet doors and feeders in the last year and are the first in our connected range of products which are central to our forward plans to build a connected pet ecosystem, designed with the pet at the centre as well as help owners proactively care for their pet.
“We have already received fantastic feedback from our customers about both products and we are delighted to receive the recognition from the Pet Trade industry.”
