Muffin the cat

Muffin has a SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap Connect, which tells Mr and Mrs Bell when she goes in and out of the house and prevents all other cats in the neighbourhood getting in. She also has a SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect, which stops Jack the dog stealing her food and allows Mr and Mrs Bell to keep track of her feeding habits, as well as enabling them to serve accurate portions. Here’s what Muffin thinks of her amazing pet tech.
Hello, I’m Muffin! Purrleased to meet you. I’m the only feline member of the Bell Family and ever since the humans installed my special cat flap, I can no longer have parties at my house with the other cats in the neighbourhood. It only lets me in, you see. That’s good though because some of them would do stinky spraying and make a right mess.
It gets pretty busy around the house at this time of year, so it’s nice to have an escape route. If the humans start getting boisterous after drinking too much of that weird red stuff, I just nip out of the cat flap for some ‘me’ time.
The cat flap magically locks at night time and unlocks again in the morning, so I have to stay in at night. But that’s OK, because it means I have an excuse to do my favourite thing. Sleeping.
For some reason, the humans always seem to know when I’m in the house, no matter how stealthily I creep through the cat flap. It’s almost like the cat flap is telling them where I am!
As well as my cool cat flap, I have a fancy food bowl. The lid only opens for me so that my pal Jack the dog can’t pinch my food anymore. Now I don’t have to eat all my food in one go because I know no one else can eat it. The humans used to weigh my food separately before serving it, but now they don’t have to because the new bowl’s flashing lights help them out.
Life certainly has got a lot more relaxing since these puuuurfect new toys came along.
